Presentation and dissemination of the research: Youth in Puerto Rico

The Ibero-American Youth Observatory (OJI) of the SM Foundation and the Observatory of Society, Governance, and Public Policy of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico presented the bibliographic study Youth in Puerto Rico, a research project by the SM Foundation in alliance with the Pontifical University.

The researchers and authors of the report, Dr. Hernán A. Vera and Dr. Jennifer Castellanos, and the coordinator of the SM Foundation in Puerto Rico, Judy García Allende, presented the background, objectives, and results of this research to the press, directors, professors, and organizations linked to youth.

The event featured the participation of the president of the PUCPR, Lcdo. José A. Frontera; the general director of SM PR, Juan Reyes Pérez; and the president of United Way of Puerto Rico, Dr. Glorymar Rivera Báez, who served as the host of the event venue.

The presentation of the research on Youth in Puerto Rico also included results from the Flash surveys: Why do we study? and Citizenship—polls conducted in January 2024 among 400 young people between the ages of 15 and 29 from various geographic areas of the country.

The bibliographic study on youth and the Flash surveys are available on the websites of the Ibero-American Youth Observatory and the SM PR Foundation.
